Dr. Kevin Young - Dentist
To Dr. Young, establishing a dental clinic and making his career in his hometown of Georgetown, Ontario is a privilege. His grandfather, father and mother have all practiced as pharmacists locally and he is proud to continue providing healthcare to the community.
He is a graduate of Georgetown District High School, where his interest in science and health was nurtured. He earned an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from McMaster University in 1998. At the University of Western Ontario School of Dentistry he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery and was his class valedictorian in 2003. He has since been active in expanding his clinical skills with courses in sedation dentistry, orthodontics, implant surgery and sleep disorders dentistry.
His interests outside of work include spending time with his wife Christy and sons Oliver and Damon. Dr. Young is also an avid automobile racer and snowboarder.

Dana Welters - Registered Dental Hygienist
Dana grew up in the Glen Williams area of Georgetown. Dana was an active member of the local ballet school as well as a member of the Blue Fins Swim Club. Dana attended Bishop Reding Secondary School and continued her education at George Brown College to become a Dental Assistant. She then worked alongside Dr. Young for a few years and once again advanced her education by attending the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and graduated in 2006. Dana has explored working overseas in New Zealand and Australia for a number of years where she enjoyed great success in her career. Dana takes enormous pride in ensuring her patients receive the very best of treatment under her care.
In her spare time Dana enjoys cooking, camping, canoeing, hiking and spending time with her husband Shawn and their two boys Conor and Cole.
Julie Pedro – Certified Dental Assistant
Julie has been a Certified Dental Assistant Level II since 1997. Julie joined the Young Dentistry team in 2022. She brings with her extensive knowledge and experience and her warm welcoming nature makes patients feel at ease. Julie, her husband and her two children have lived in Georgetown since 2010. In her free time, Julie enjoys cooking, reading, antiques, DIY projects and travelling.
Penny Dunbar – Certified Dental Assistant
Penny joined the Young Dentistry team in 2016 and brings with her over 20 years of experience in the dental field. She lives in Georgetown where she and her husband are raising their two active girls. Penny enjoys going with her older daughter to swimming lessons and watching her younger daughter play rep soccer. In her spare time Penny enjoys cooking and baking with her family.
Ilona Szczepanik – Registered Dental Hygienist
Ilona is a 2007 graduate of Regency Dental Hygiene Academy. Joining our team in 2017 , Ilona brings with her many years of dental experience. Ilona’s love of dentistry and passion to constantly learn make her a dedicated dental hygienist both in private practice and outside in the community. Ilona creates strong relationships with her patients built on trust and strives to make every patient feel comfortable under her care.
In her time away from the dental chair Ilona and her husband Matt are busy parents to 3 little ones. They enjoy spending outdoor time together, cottage trips, swimming and enjoying our beautiful community of Georgetown.
Heather Fingado – Registered Dental Hygienist
Heather grew up in Mississauga where she attended Lorne Park Secondary graduating from the dental assisting program and receiving the Ontario Dental Association’s Academic Award of Excellence. She then continued onto Dental Hygiene at Lakeland College in Cleveland, Ohio graduating with honours in 1993.
With over 33 years of experience in the dental field, and her passion, dedication, and love for her profession, Heather is devoted to offering quality care including educating and encouraging her patients to maintain good oral health.
When not seeing patients, Heather enjoys travelling, hiking, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family here in Georgetown.
Elyse Reynolds – Registered Dental Hygienist
Elyse is a registered dental hygienist with 15 years of experience. After spending time in British Columbia, where she enjoyed outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and kayaking, Elyse returned to Ontario and continues to explore the outdoors with her seven-year-old daughter.
Elyse is passionate about continuing education and is currently pursuing a bachelor's in health administration at Toronto Metropolitan University. She also offers consultations in orofacial myofunctional therapy and oral habit elimination.
Her favorite part of the job is educating patients, especially on cavity prevention and personalized care.
Krishna Rajput – Front Desk Administrator/Certified Dental Assistant
Krishna completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in India in 2015, she graduated as Dental Assistant in Canada in 2017 and joined Young Dentistry in 2019. She lives in Brampton with her husband and a son. She enjoys reading books, travelling and cooking.
Natasha Samaroo – Registered Dental Hygienist
Natasha has been helping out the Young Dentistry team since 2015. She grew up in Etobicoke and attended Marian Academy Catholic Secondary School. She began her dental career as a dental assistant in 2005 and later went on to become at Dental Hygienist in 2007. She is passionate about educating and providing the best dental care possible to her patients.
Outside of the dental office she enjoys spending time with her husband Raymond and their three kids. She also runs her own photography business specializing in newborn and family photography.
Jessica Jones – Registered Dental Hygienist
Jessica grew up here in Georgetown and still lives local. Jessica graduated from the dental assisting program at Fanshawe College in 2019 and graduated from the dental hygiene program in 2021 at Niagara College. She is passionate about creating relationships with her patients here at the office and providing great dental care to all. Outside of the office Jessica likes to spend time with her husband Jason, family and friends while having a love and interest for antiques, vintage markets and small-town shops.
Taylor Pedro – Front Desk Administrator
Taylor is a graduate with honors from Medix College, specializing in Dental Administration. With a warm and welcoming demeanor, she greets every patient with a smile, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported throughout their dental experience. Taylor is dedicated to providing exceptional assistance and guidance, making each patient feel at ease and well-cared for. A proud Georgetown local, she enjoys spending time with her family and long-term boyfriend. In her leisure time, Taylor loves reading, attending the theater for her love of movies, and exploring local farmer's markets.
Sherri Atkinson – Front Desk Administrator
Sherri joined the Young Dentistry team in 2024 and is known for her strong organizational skills and a commitment to ongoing learning and personal development. Her passion lies in creating positive customer experiences, and her years as a Mom of 5 has equipped her with top-notch multitasking expertise. In Sherri’s spare time she is enjoying her new title as a Grammie to two little ones. She also enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family and traveling.

Dr. Benjamin Cooperband - Dentist
Dr. Benjamin Cooperband grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (D.M.D.) from the University of Manitoba in 1981. He completed a certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, in 1989. A dedicated member of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology, Dr. Cooperband is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has been proudly serving the Georgetown area and surrounding communities. Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Cooperband enjoys traveling extensively with his family.

Dr. Marcia Domingos - Dentist
Dr. Domingos completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery with honors at the University College Cork in Ireland. Dr. Domingos is also an Alumni of the University of Waterloo where she completed both her Bachelor of Science as well as her Masters of Science degree.
You will find Dr. Domingos takes her time with each of her patients to allow for all questions to be addressed, leaving her patients feeling at ease and looking forward to their next visit.
In her personal life, Dr. Domingos enjoys her time off spent with her husband and daughters. She is an avid runner, baker, and advocate for living a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Jonathun Yu - Dentist
Dr. Jonathan Yu was born and raised in Windsor, ON. He completed his bachelors and masters degrees in chemistry at the University of Windsor where he was an active researcher and student leader in the Faculty of Science. Dr. Yu received his dental training from the University of Toronto. As the graduating dental class president and vice-president of communications of the Dental Students Society, he values helping his peers to become better clinicians by organizing root canal and restorative sessions to hone their skills. His contributions were acknowledged by the prestigious Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award.
Dr. Yu pursued dentistry because it brings joy to him when a healthy beautiful smile is brought to life and building trusted relationships with his patients and colleagues.
Outside of work, Dr. Yu enjoys road cycling, soccer, and photography.
